WE'VE BEEN TOO QUIET ABOUT GRIEF

VOICE LOSSAT ANY VOLUME

  • We’re painting grief in high-vis orange, creating cultural permission to name it instead of ignore it — to be seen and heard.
  • Grief doesn’t have a dress code. We all cope with loss differently. Whatever shape it takes — it deserves somewhere to go.
  • Better listening starts here. Give people room to speak honestly about loss — and give the rest of us a chance to understand it better.

REMEMBER SOMEONESUPPORT ANOTHER

Loss Out Loud is an audio remembrance gathering place from Bri’s Lodge, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping people remember, listen and show up for one another through grief.

WE COULD ALL USE A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE

LISTEN TO LOSSSEE LIFE DIFFERENTLY

  • You don’t have to be grieving to listen. Hearing people speak openly about death can make the subject feel less forbidden and the conversation a little more human.
  • Not everyone gets the chance to say goodbye. Hearing what people wish they’d said can be a reminder not to leave so much unsaid.
  • Grief has a way of clarifying what mattered all along. Listening to people who’ve lived it can sharpen your sense of what deserves your attention now.
SOONER OR LATER, WE ALL NEED SUPPORT

LOSS IS UNIVERSALSUPPORT IS NOT

  • Too many people don’t know where to turn after losing someone — sometimes from shock, sometimes because they don’t yet have the words for what they need.
  • Finding the right help can be its own hurdle. Where you live, what you can afford and what you know exists can shape the support you receive.
  • Support often fades long before grief does. Organizations like Bri’s Lodge are trying to close that gap with limited resources and needs that only continue to grow.

SAY THEIRNAME

Losing someone doesn’t make bringing them up off-limits. We may fear causing pain, but saying their name lets those mourning know you remember, too. Their name still belongs in the room.
